I’m so pleased the Sri Lanka Association has taken the initiative to pressure the government to sign up to net zero at COP26.
I’m 71 years old. My generation is clearly responsible for the biggest damage caused to the world environment and climate. I’ve decided before we go, we owe it to the coming generations to do something about it in a way we can.
Hence I’ve decided at every Federal and State election hereon, I will vote for the major party with the best plans to address climate change.
I’m very disappointed with the current Federal Government not showing any leadership in this matter but extremely pleased our NSW State government is showing the way how to do this.
I’m also very concerned with damage being done by corrupt politicians to democracy everywhere. So I will be seriously considering voting for a major party with the best plans for a Federal truly independent anti-corruption body.
You can count on my support in these matters.
